It is such an honor for me to be part of the 50 women selected to represent the many and many amazing and talented women working in our city.

The exhibition, curated by Sissa Medialab, is open to public until May 14th Fridays and Saturdays 4 pm – 7.30 pm at the expo space of Trieste City of Knowledge (inside Trieste Centrale train station).

International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2019

Today we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Over the last decades we made some progress towards gender equality in STEM. Yet, women and girls continue to be excluded from participating fully in science:Β  the available statistical data point out a bias against women and show that we are still far away from equal employment (more info here). I really hope this day could promote debate and raise public awareness on this issue in order to fill the gap, achieve gender equality and effectively empower women and girls by reinforcing their freedom to choose their future.Β

My best wishes to all women in science!
